Neither of us had been out of our comfort zone like that in a really long time. We hadn’t learned anything without the pressure of a client, a job, a boss, in forever. So that idea of jumping into something, into the unknown, was liberating. And we screwed up a lot. But it was fun, ‘cause we felt no pressure.

I wanted to be a designer forever. I had the same post in my yearbook since grade five. The one before grade five said I wanted to be a ninja turtle, and then after that, I wanted to be a designer.

After these experiences things started building up. All the things that I thought I processed and understood and learned from, they started coming back to me as fears, fears that something else would go wrong. But the show must go on, and it did.
